• —Compare the Evidence: Paste any article URL. Our AI finds a real article from an ideologically opposing outlet covering the same topic — shown side-by-side. Claims are broken down into FACTS, OPINIONS, and DISPUTED, cross-referenced against public fact-check databases where available.
• —Detect Deepfakes: Upload any image from a social post or article. Our AI estimates whether it shows signs of AI generation and flags potential age mismatches — presented as probabilistic signals, not definitive conclusions.

The project is not affiliated with any news organization, government body, media regulator, ratings authority, or press standards body. It is a standalone reference resource with no commercial relationships to the sources it lists.

The name Veritas — Latin for "truth" — reflects the project's aspiration toward transparency and factual clarity, while acknowledging that all content herein is AI-assisted and subject to the limitations of that technology.

VERITAS SOURCE should not be cited as a primary or authoritative source in academic, journalistic, legal, or professional contexts.

• ⏳ Pending VerificationThis entry was recently added or failed the last daily metadata refresh. Data is AI-generated and has not yet been validated against current public sources. Treat with extra caution until verified.
• ✗ Verification FailedThe entry failed the automated daily refresh check, containing significant data quality issues or missing required fields. The listing is retained for transparency but should be considered unreliable.

Verification is performed daily at 2 AM ET using AI to refresh bias ratings, funding transparency scores, editorial summaries, and incident reports against publicly available sources. It is an automated data quality process only — not human editorial review, journalistic fact-checking, or any form of independent audit. It does not involve direct contact with news organizations and carries no legal or regulatory significance.
